Parapet is a tool for honest, accountable corporate communication. These uses are strictly prohibited. Breaking them can result in suspension or termination without refund.
Truthfulness and integrity
- No disinformation, hoaxes or knowingly false claims presented as fact.
- No fabricating quotes, statistics, endorsements or attributions from real people or organisations.
- No fake reviews, astroturfing, sock-puppet or coordinated inauthentic content.
- No market manipulation — including false or misleading press releases intended to move a stock or asset price.
Impersonation and authority
- No impersonating a person, brand, government or official body you are not authorised to represent.
- No speaking 'on behalf of' an organisation without its authority.
- No forged, spoofed or misleading sender or spokesperson identities.
Harm, harassment and manipulation
- No harassment, targeted defamation, threats or smear content aimed at a specific individual.
- No political or electoral manipulation, voter suppression or deceptive campaign material.
- No adult or sexually explicit material, and nothing involving minors.
- No content that promotes discrimination, violence or illegal activity.
Legal and regulated conduct
- No unlawful, fraudulent, infringing or counterfeit content, or content that violates third-party IP or privacy rights.
- No evasion of the rules that apply to regulated industries or of any applicable disclosure obligations.
- No use that breaches sanctions, export controls or other applicable law.
Reporting and enforcement
