Terms of Service

1. The service

Parapet is a software tool that generates communication drafts, visuals and short scripts from the situations you describe. It is not a licensed PR agency or legal adviser, and all output is a first draft as described in our AI Disclaimer.

2. Eligibility and minors

You must be able to form a binding contract. The service is intended for adult communications professionals. It is not for anyone under 13; users aged 13–17 must have verifiable guardian consent.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your password secure and notify us of any unauthorised use.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans are billed in USD through Stripe on a monthly or yearly basis.
• Allowances are metered service usage, not withdrawable or prepaid balance, and do not carry over between periods.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and retain access to the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach it.

6. Your content and responsibility

You retain ownership of the materials you submit, subject to our Content License. You are solely responsible for verifying and for how you use any output, including checking facts, rights and applicable law before publishing.

7. Intellectual property

The Parapet software, brand and site are owned by us. These terms do not grant you any rights in our marks beyond using the service as intended.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for how you use output you failed to verify. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or applicable law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights.
